Melissa is responsible for Global Talent Management in an S&P SmallCap 600 company. Her focus in this role is employee engagement & culture, talent assessment, executive development, organizational change management, internal communication, and performance management.
She began her career designing and implementing training programs. This led to a couple of years in a “Big 4” Consulting firm with a focus on change management and learning, followed by a role managing a learning and development function.
Her recent roles enabled her to work in a global capacity supporting the organizational and talent initiatives in large, global organizations. These included assessing talent readiness, succession planning, team development, executive coaching, change management, project management, competency development and performance management. She is also a speaker, writer, and facilitator.
Melissa is energized by making HR strategies actionable and helping people achieve. When she isn’t working or writing, she is traveling, cooking, or spending time with her family. Melissa holds a BA in Philosophy from The University of North Florida and sometimes seeks necessary truth in the universe. But most of the time, she is focused on building high performing corporate cultures that align to the strategic goals of organizations.
